OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM GOODBYE KISS FOR DADDY

Families can help together to bring smiles and hugs

Hi Kids ! Hi Teens ! Glad you stopped by….

This is our page just for you to go to and find out ways to give thanks for our freedoms, honor 9-11, to thank our troops and families, to get support if you’re a military kid and hero, and hopefully to start a Kids Club where you are for Homefront Hugs !

There are so many ways to help …to volunteer from where you live . With the 10 year anniversary of 9-11 this year and the 10 year anniversary of Homefront Hugs, there are lots of great ways below to thank our heroes and be a helpful American teenager or kid ! We need your help.

Projects ideas include: adopting a wounded soldier ,adopting a deployed hero, collecting goodies for care packages.writing our wounded troops or families, helping homeless veterans in your community, helping give thanks for your freedoms by helping on a needed community project, helping with natural disasters where our troops help too like Homefront Lunchbox Hugs, visiting veteerans and elderly in nursing homes, putting together a choir or band which includes patriotic songs to perform for military families or your community, helping military families with chores because their Dad or Mom is gone away at war or wounded, etc.

Never Forget

You may even come up with your own idea especially with our 10th anniversary approaching for Homefront Hugs and 9-11. Parents, Teachers, 9-11 does not have to be a frightening memory because we are all safer now and our troops, 1st responders, and families all make sure of that every day for all of us. 9-11 was a time when our country was a little confused and sad because of the things that happened, but then the most wonderful surprise happened: we all came together and remembered we are ALL God’s children and stood united to help each other and remember how wonderful it is to be American and be a part of this great big world with others.

Angels like Emma inspire us every day at Homefront Hugs

Meet George, our mascot who has cheered up our troops for years ! Our troops even offered to trade their camel for George !  Angels like Emma inspire us every day at Homefront Hugs

You matter and volunteers rock. Being free did not just happen easily. Our troops keep us free , and not all countries have all the freedoms we do. Being safe happens because of our family, our parents, relatives, people who love us and also our brave men and women in uniform. So why not join thousands of other Homefront Hugs volunteers across the country and say thanks to our brave soldiers, or cheer up a wounded veteran, or …well, just look below… And guess what? You may even come up with your own idea ! Either way , thanks for wanting to help make someone smile and wanting to be a volunteer, not caring if you don’t get paid !

Drawing Pictures to Bring Smiles

And for our teenagers, count those hours, as we will be happy to write you a great letter for college or jobs later if you help by being a great Homefront Hugs volunteer ! We do it all the time !

The first Homefront Hugs Kids Club was started in Gulf Breeze, Florida in March 2o1o at our headquarters before we moved to Michigan. Since then, we have had more started in Connecticut and then in December 2010, we started the first one in the midwest in Ann Arbor, Michigan where our new headquarters are.

Volunteer with your friends !

Welcoming Home our WWII Heroes from Honor Flight

What’s important is that you just remember our pledge/our oath which basically says that we are all children of God and we include everybody to help our communities and give back if we are part of Homefront Hugs Kids Clubs.

Welcoming Back Honor Flight WWII Veterans

That’s a pretty easy concept but these days with bullying and prejudice still around, we want to make sure everyone gets it and we work on reaching out and getting along.

Being proud of our troops and families and freedoms is just part of our Homefront Hugs Kids Clubs , the rest are values we hope you will remember for a lifetime with the help of your community leaders and parents.
