What will you be doing this 9-11 on the tenth anniversary of the day our country was attacked,and the beginning of a very long war ? How will you be explaining it to your children who may not even have been capable of understanding then or even alive without instiliing fear ?

It was a sunny fall day in Pittsburgh and I had my usual 45 minute commute to the hospitals for my job. I turned on the radio as I always did for some news and music to start the day as I reviewed patient files.
My little munchkin Ed was smiling back at me from his photo, and I could feel myself already missing him having dropped him off at daycare 30 minutes ago. It was 9-11-01 at 9:01 am at the hospital...

This weekend we lost 31 more Americans who will not be coming home to loved ones.

Homefront Hugs, which is a national volunteer organization, has moved its headquarters almost a year ago to Ann Arbor, and is looking for volunteers.
Our troops and military famillies are hurting and weary from the numerous deployments and could use some help and a morale boost. They also are the last ones to ask for help.
